The History of the Lamborghini Diablo 6.0 VT
When Audi AG took over Lamborghini in 1998, they immediately commissioned the Belgian designer Luc Donckerwolke to work on a deep restyling of the Diablo. The designer had previously worked on important road car projects, but also on the Audi R8 Le Mans prototype, thus developing excellent skills in the development of luxury Supercars.
The Diablo VT 6.0 represents a substantial leap forward over the previous generation by combining numerous technological improvements, including: a carbon fiber body, an all-new 6.0-liter DOHC V12 engine, wider front and rear track for a greater cornering capability and an improved exhaust system. The chassis has also been improved and the interior, almost completely redesigned, is equipped with a new air conditioning system, which guarantees maximum comfort even in the most extreme conditions.
The new 6.0-liter aluminum engine with 48 valves delivers 20 horsepower more than the previous model and pushes torque up to 620 Nm.
The engine features a variable intake valve timing system, with titanium connecting rods and a lighter crankshaft, all modifications aimed at improving the car's performance. The five-speed manual gearbox and four-wheel viscous transmission system (the famous acronym "VT") allow for a searing 0-100 km/h sprint in under 4 seconds.
The new 18-inch OZ wheels in light magnesium alloy, with the now iconic “telephone dial” design, already seen previously on the Countach, immediately catch the eye.
The front nose has been redesigned with the introduction of two large air intakes, repositioned indicators and further rounded bumpers to optimize the car's aerodynamics.
The 6cm wider front track also incorporated improved suspension with electronically controlled shock absorbers. The rear track has also been increased, resulting in a significant improvement in handling, comfort and aerodynamics. The position of the newly developed pedal has also been redesigned with a significant advantage for the rider.

Our Lamborghini Diablo VT 6.0
The Lamborghini Diablo VT 6.0 we are offering was born at the beginning of 2000, before being purchased and registered with an Italian plate on 10 May of the same year by Automobili Lamborghini SpA itself, which used it as test car for drivers/potential buyers of Diablo, visiting the Sant'Agata headquarters.
A few months later, in September 2000, this Diablo after traveling 2,745 km was serviced at the Lamborghini factory, as indicated in the car's service and warranty booklet.
The car remained in the availability of Automobili Lamborghini S.p.A until 2003 when it was purchased by a well-known French collector, who fell in love with it after testing it on the track.
In May 2018 the car was then serviced in Italy (as per the copy of the invoice contained in the historical car file).
Being the first model assembled under the new leadership of the Audi AG group, this car represents a significant turning point in the history of Lamborghini being one of the 260 built, which also assumes a particular historical value, due to its belonging to the same Lamborghini factory.
Today the car is in Concours condition.
This exciting Diablo VT 6.0 represents an extraordinary opportunity for any collector to own one of the most iconic cars of its generation. This Diablo also represents a safe investment for any collector and destined to revalue over the years.
It is possible to view the car online, by booking a call with our commercial operator, via Skype, Zoom, Whatsapp and Google Meet platforms.
