Delivered by Jaguar in Trier, a Luxembourg enthusiast became the owner of this stunning Jaguar XKR 5.0 V8 Supercharged Convertible on June 18th. 2010. Quite a mouthful, but that’s okay. Let’s say someone of noble birth is not baptized with just one name.

And no one can deny that this Jaguar looks very chic and noble. How Jaguar manages to combine chic, elegance and sportiness into one, in the case of the XKR, seriously fast car that everyone looks at with pleasure, is a mystery to us. Don’t you think too that there are many fast cars showing to wild and fitted with to large spoilers and air intakes ? And that is, according to Jaguar not necessary at all. And they are right. Fantastic engineering that puts an impressive 510 bhp. on the road, comes is in very well balance with a sophisticated design that never really gets old-fashioned or, an full equipment and a very high level of leather, cloth, etc which is only seen at the highest class cars.

This XKR was superbly maintained and received more maintenance than was actually necessary given the mileage, but the owner was clearly fond of his Jag and like to gve him the best possible treatment. It is obvious that all invoices are present and that maintenance has only been carried out by the Jaguar dealer.

On January 14, 2020, the car was registered by the 2nd and Dutch owner with the intention of taking the car to his second home in Italy. Why not stay at the first home in the Netherlands? Because he had the best excuse for this: there was already an exactly the same XKR .. A different color, yes, but it does indicate that the second owner is also an true fan of the British brand. However, the plans to take the car to Italy were not put into practice, because the owner and his wife already got headache by the thought that in the Tuscan village someone’s might park his old Panda a bit too close to the Jaguar and the little door could damage the super-tight white XKR paint. That was indeed realistic…. Besides the fact that you don’t want to expose a car of this standard to the bad roads in the area where they live. It even seems that the local mayor (also bar and chemistry owner …) was asked if there was still a chance that the roads would be paved in nearest future, but his surprised face said enough … He had mumbled something like “typical a question from a perfectionist Dutchman… ”In our case, and therefore also for the future owner, let’s be happy with that perfectionism, because the cars shows it from every angle. Really no damage or even the slightest trace of use: everything is truly sublime and indistinguishable from new. A merit of good maintenance and pleasure in owning and cherish a beautiful car.

So there were two XKRs in the garage, but after weeks of doubting it was decided that the white XKR should have to go. The counter shows only 23.642 kilometers, not in need of maintenance, no tires or MOT. None of that. Then what? In our opinion, you only need to be very excited to really enjoy one of the best Jaguar’s with your partner. A car where it is still appreciated that enthusiasts buy something like this and passers-by show you a thumbs up. Do you already see yourself driving towards South France, for example?

We haven’t talked at all about how comfortable the car is, or how complete the equipent is. We don’t really need to, because during that beautiful ride you will discover that you do not miss anything.
