History:
🇺🇸 This Jaguar XK120 was produced on July 4th, 1951 and delivered new to its first owner, Charles J. Hughes, in the USA.
🇩🇪 After passing through the hands of an owner in Seattle, the car was acquired in the 2000s by a German enthusiast who undertook a complete restoration, completed in 2008.
🇫🇷 In September 2018, our client purchased the car.
📄 The car comes with an extensive file including its Jaguar Daimler Heritage Trust (JDHT) certificate and over 20 years of invoices. This XK120 successfully took part in the 2008 Mille Miglia, and still retains its scrutineering seals from the event.

Condition:
🚘 This XK120 presents very well overall.

The Gunmetal Grey paintwork, chosen during the restoration to replace the original Pastel Blue, is in very good condition. The chrome trim is well preserved. The soft top and side screens are also in good condition.

The red leather interior is superb: the seats, door panels and dashboard all present very well. All instruments are fully functional.

🔧 The chassis and engine numbers are matching. The car starts immediately and runs properly, with no abnormal vibrations or noises. The gearbox was rebuilt in 2014 (gears, bearings and shafts), and all gears engage smoothly.

The car has benefited from several upgrades to improve reliability during rally use: dual-circuit braking system, electronic ignition, alternator integrated within the housing of the original dynamo, and stainless-steel exhaust system.

🛞 Michelin Pilot X tyres were considered to be in good condition during the appraisal carried out in 11/2025. Tread depths were measured as follows:
Front: 4.0 mm
Rear: 3.5 mm

French registration certificate
Appraisal report (2025)
