Description

1994 JAGUAR XJ-S 4.0 CONVERTIBLE

This Jaguar sports a fitting colour scheme for this British model, British racing green with beige leather interior, and is powered by a 4-litre straight-six AJ6 engine with an automatic gearbox delivering 226 hp. It features extras such as electric heated seats with memory, air conditioning (in working order), cruising speed, electric mirrors and a host of other extras.

The history of this car begins in California (USA). In the early 2000s, the car returned to Europe (Berlin), and in 2002 the car was imported to Barcelona (Spain) by a well-known Jaguar specialist. The car has belonged to its current owner since 2012, who used it occasionally because he owns a broad collection. Since its purchase, the car has been serviced at the official Jaguar workshop in Madrid (C. de Salamanca).

The present car's condition was determined after a 300 km road test and an inspection of every facet.

The bodywork is in good condition. Though it shows no traces of rust or dents, it might have minor scratches. The paintwork has a nice shine, but it would be advisable to get it polished because it has slight abrasion due to cleaning. As you can see in the photos, the front lip is broken.

The interior is in good condition. The leather looks shiny and nourished. The wood trim is in very good condition. All the instruments, from the windows and seats to the dials, work properly. The odometer was replaced in 2002 by the importer and changed from miles to kilometres. The mileage was respected. It currently reads 138,000 km.

The hood is in good condition but not new. The system works perfectly. When you operate it, the windows go down, and the hood folds up (hood cover not included).

The overall mechanical condition is good. This is the perfect car for a weekend getaway. The power is good and is very reminiscent of the handling of an upgraded E-type Series 3, as is the feel. The car starts properly both when hot and cold. It has a circuit breaker, but its use is not strictly necessary. The alternator works correctly. The engine is strong and has a lot of power. The shifting is smooth and precise. The suspension system should be revised. The engine mounts and brakes work properly. The car has a valid I.T.V. (Spanish MOT), but you can feel that the rotors have acquired shape and the brake pads are not new. The tread tyres are fine but due to be replaced. The exhaust system has been found to produce grey exhaust fumes at times. It should be checked.

We have a video available. Also, we could send you a photographic dossier with higher-quality images if necessary.

The car is located in Madrid.

Good condition: visible signs of wear and general ageing
