We have a lovely 1992 Jaguar XJS. When new it was supplied to California in the States and shipped over to the Netherlands in 2017. For the first 25 years of its life it had the one and the same owner. He took the mileage up to 92,000 miles. All that time the car received perfect and well documented maintenance, as the fist-thick file of receipts will confirm.

The bodywork is still in lovely shape. The original panelwork is nice and thin as well being correctly aligned. The cosmetically resprayed identical coloured paintwork has held up extremely well due to the expert application. The chrome brightwork and rims also look wonderful. The electrically operated hood works well and fits snuggly. A new tonneau cover matching the car’s exterior is of course present.

The interior has remained completely original. The carpets look great, in a used but very neat condition. The still fantastically supple leather has developed that desired patina. All instruments and

controls look great and are in good working order. Luxury in a XJS comes as standard with cruise control, heated seats, climate control and an extensive trip computer.

The car has always been perfectly maintained. The 5.3 litre V12 engine is exceptionally well equipped to both enjoy a relaxing trip and use its torque to its full potential. The engine has more than ample power in its possession and runs as smoothly as you could wish for due to the diligent maintenance. The engine is attached to velvety working 4-speed automatic that devour the miles effortlessly in perfect unison. Over the last few years only 5,000 miles has been added to the XJS’s mileage whilst still keeping up its regular maintenance scheme. The suspension and brakes are also in good condition and add to the joy experienced every mile driven.

In short we feel this a quite splendid Jaguar XJS with its gorgeous finish and brilliant maintenance score, not to mention it has only known two owners all its life.

All you need to consider is when you are going to get behind the wheel and enjoy some “Grace, Space and Pace”!
