Description

The Jaguar XJS is now viewed among enthusiasts as a ‘bona fide’ classic. Launched in 1975, it is fair to say there was some scepticism at the start of its life, given that the XJS followed on from the iconic E-type. A 21-year production life is a testimony to the rightness of its design, and it was a big success. With independent, coil sprung suspension, power-assisted rack-and-pinion steering and disc brakes, its ride/handling balance combined the best of both worlds. At the XJS’s heart sits a 5.3-litre engine, developing 282 bhp, allowing for smooth motoring or more spirited progress if desired.

Finished in Brooklands Green over a beige leather interior, arguably the most desirable colour combination for the model, it presents very well and would be an ideal car for extended touring.

This particular 1992 Jaguar XJS 5.3 V12 was new delivered by Auto König (Germany) on 15th July 1992.
Finished in Brooklands Green over a beige leather interior, arguably the most desirable colour combination for the model, it presents very well and would be an ideal car for extended touring.

It has clearly been well preserved throughout its entire life, as the odometer shows only 57.541 kilometres from new.
