Description

Transmission: 3 gears, Automatic
Registration number: JA-71-35

Halfway through 1975, the international press was first introduced to the successor to the Jaguar E-type, the XJ-S. Critics at the time might not consider it a worthy successor to the E-type, but the very streamlined coupé and convertible managed to last for more than twenty years. Everyone was praising the handling, the cornering speeds at high speed were praised to the sky.
The XJ-S you are looking at here is a copy from 1989. Originally delivered in America, where the car was not allowed to enjoy the warm asphalt much. The same happened in Europe, where the Jaguar moved to a few years ago. It goes without saying that the car now has a European registration.
With only 17,900 miles of life experience, we can speak of an as good as new copy here. This is also evident from the fact that the XJ-S still has its first coat of paint and it also looks very good. Clearly a cherished car by the only three owners who have cared for this Convertible in almost 35 years.
Only rarely can we speak of a car in such an original condition. The paint, white paint, with wafer-thin decorative line over the entire length of the car looks like a ring. In combination with the spoke wheels in top condition, it is a very stylish car. The interior, the majority of which is covered with chic natural-colored leather, is also very neat. Due to the age of the car, a very light form of patina is discernible, no restored interior can compete with this. The instruments and controls all function as they should. There is no lack of luxury with cruise control, electrically operated seats and an electrically operated roof. The hood still looks very nice, by the way.
It is also pure beauty under the hood: the formidable V12, 5.3 liters in size, looks like new and turns silky smooth. With this mileage, there is of course hardly any wear. The chassis and brakes are also in optimal condition and contribute to the wonderful driving behavior of this Jaguar.
The underside of the car looks just like the rest of the car. The Jaguar comes with a decent folder with maintenance invoices. The original books and various beautiful documentation are also present. Price reduction from € 42,500 to € 39,950
