Model History
This interesting British Gran Turismo was manufactured between 1975 and 1996
First XJ-Ses were sold in 1975 and back then, this model had a V12 5,3 litre powertrain of 272 horsepower to which were matched either manual or automatic gearboxes. The base for the XJ-S was the XJ saloon, with which the XJS also shared its elegance and driving comfort. During the whole production, two other versions were introduced, a targa top XJS-C and a sporty XJRS. Between 1991 and 1996, this model was facelifted two times, its name was also changed to XJS to be more in line with other Jaguar models. Last XJS was manufactured on the 4th of April 1996, and during its production a total of 115 413 cars were manufactured.
