Description
"Introduced in 1997 the X308 version of the Jaguar XJ series was built on a heritage dating back to 1968 and the success of the X300 version it replaced. The X300 being the first Jaguar to benefit from the ownership and financial input of the Ford Motor Company. This investment in the XJ series was clear to see. The new models benefitted from an improved and refined interior and a smooth V8 engine. Not only were they refined but powerful as well with the XJR supercharged models producing 370 bhp.
This XJR 100 is one of the limited number of cars produced to celebrate the centenary of Sir William Lyons, the founder of the company. A mere 500 cars were built with only 82 models being allocated for the U.K market. As with all XJR 100’s, this car is presented in the colour combination of metallic Anthracite with Charcoal leather interior. The interior is enhanced with subtle red stitching to the seats, a sporty leather covered steering wheel and Momo gear shift knob. The exterior of the car is also enhanced with its 19” Montreal split rim alloys, Brembo brakes and the subtle XJR 100 badging. This impressive expression of British luxury and iconic car designs is offered with a V5C registration document and an MoT test certificate valid until May 2019."
