"This car can be viewed in person from 14th to 18th July 2020 at our the auction site, Windsorview Lakes, Datchet, SL3 9HY
The first XJ was launched in 1968 and the designation has been used for successive Jaguar flagship models ever since. The original model was the last Jaguar saloon to have had the input of Sir William Lyons, the company's founder. With the introduction of the X308 generation in 1997 came a switch from the 'XJ6' nomenclature to 'XJ8', reflecting the fact that the X308 cars were powered by a new V8 engine. The exterior styling of the X308 was similar to its predecessor the X300, with minor refinements such as a change to oval indicator lenses and round fog lights.
This example is presented in the desirable colour combination of Pacific Blue with Oatmeal leather interior. In recent years, the Jaguar has been treated to much maintenance work with invoices amounting to over £1,500. Included in this work was an overhaul to the gearbox and brake system. The SE specification includes electric memory seats, heated seats, cruise control, heated front screen and cruise control. Accompanying the car is a sizeable history file containing bills for the maintenance and service work, the most recent MoT test certificate, the UK V5 registration document and various sundry invoices. The health and safety of both our customers and team remains the utmost priority, we are therefore operating to Government guidelines throughout viewing and auction day."
