This series I 1973 Jaguar XJ6 4.2 was supplied from new in Genua, Italy. The car is the version with the popular 4-speed manual transmission with overdrive. Although the full service is not available, considering the car’s good condition the 46,830 km on the clock would appear to genuine. The fact the paintwork is for 80% the original first coat also goes to support our assertion.

The bodywork looks great. Both panelwork and brightwork are in fine condition. The brightwork, bumpers and rims are all fully authentic. The quality of the aforementioned prime green paintwork is in very good condition.

Inside there is original, perfectly supple, lovely beige leather. The dashboard has fine walnut burr wooden inlay that is in exceptionally good shape. The appealing manual transmission gear knob is a feature worth mentioning. The fine Smith gauges and other controls are all in correct working order.

Mechanically the car has been wonderfully well looked after. The 4.2 litre straight-six runs fantastically, fed by two SU carburettors. The manual transmission works accurately and both brakes and suspension are more than up to their respective tasks.

This is a very special Jaguar XJ6 4.2 in a wonderful original condition and fitted with the popular choice of a manual transmission.
