The Jaguar XJR from the 40 series used to be the sporty showpiece from the XJ series, year of manufacture 86/94, the XJR was created in partnership with TWR, Tom Walkinshaw Racing, the company responsible for the sports department of Jaguar, culminating in the 1988 Le Mans victory with the Jaguar XJR-9LM.

The XJR 40 distinguishes itself by a sportier and lower, 2 cm, suspension, modified steering/brakes, special 16-inch light-alloy wheels and a more potent engine, 251 hp/377 Nm at 4000 Rpm.

Externally the XJR can be recognised by those rims, its special side skirts and various XJR badges and the specific black chequered grille, in the interior the KM counter up to 260 km/h with the Jaguar Sport decals, stainless steel door sill panels, also with Jaguar sport engraving.
