This rare and unusual roadster for many years has resided in the famous Ted Leonard Collection in Connecticut, alongside his well-known collection of Rolls-Royce, Packards, Lincolns and Auburns, which, in itself, reflects the uniqueness and quality of this sports roadster and its importance.
This extremely handsome special, which is believed to have been constructed in the early 1950s, loosely along the lines of the fabled SS100, features an H-frame chassis with semi-eliptic springs, live axle suspension front and rear, Armstrong hydraulic shocks, and four-wheel hydraulic drum brakes powered by a believed early XK-series 3.4 twin-cam Jaguar engine, with twin SUs and XK-series 4-speed Moss gearbox.
