1951 Jaguar Mark V Drophead Coupe LHD presented in the very best condition! Between 2014 and 2017 this car was fully restored and mechanically overhauled with a keen eye to every single detail and retaining originality. This is a “bare-metal & Nut and Bolt”restoration of the highest quality. No effort or expense was too much in achieving this stunning result. This car started life on the 22nd May 1951, imported by the American firm Hoffman and supplied to the Motor Sales Jaguar dealer of Cleveland, Ohio. The first owner was a Dr. Robert O Kwek. The second owner, a Mr. William Kenneth Chandler of North Carolina kept the car for an astonishing 31 years! The car was exported to the Netherlands in 2006. The last owner commissioned a full restoration and overhaul by certified Jaguar specialists in the Netherlands. Nothing was left to chance during this restoration, whereby everything was meticulously tended to. A restoration from the base up with a powder coated chassis, the bodywork taken back to bare metal, every mechanical detail overhauled and replaced and tested on a rolling road, all the wiring and electrics replaced, new interior trim and so forth. The whole process has been captured with an extensive photographic reportage and comes with many invoices, allowing for inspection. As one may reasonably expect this is a matching numbers LHD car, with certification and is well documented. The wonderful bodywork has pefectly aligned body panels, it is mechanically 100% in order giving us smooth handling and driving experience. It has a very nice red leather interior trim and a black lined linen hood. It has clocked up 1500 km since restoration.
