The Mark IV (Mark Four) was a saloon car produced by Jaguar between 1945 and 1949. It was the relaunch of a model dating back to before the World War II produced by SS Cars Ltd. from 1936 onwards.

Before the World War II the name Jaguar was a name used to identify all models produced by SS Cars Ltd. The saloon cars were called SS Jaguar 1½ litre, 2½ litre or 3½ litre. The two-seater sports cars were called SS Jaguar 100 2½ litre or 3½ litre.
After the war the company name was changed to Jaguar Cars Ltd. Although the saloons produced after the war were officially identified as Jaguar 1½ litre, 2½ litre, etc., the term Mark IV was sometimes used retrospectively to differentiate it commercially from the Mark V.

Description
The car offered here dates back to 1947 and was completely restored in the early 2000s. It was then rarely used and kept in excellent condition. Used only for events and festivals, always stored away from sun and rain.

The two-tone silver and black paint is in good condition with no imperfections to report and is very beautiful and shiny.
The body is in excellent condition also in the underbody, the wheel arches and all the less visible parts, as you can see in the attached photos.

At the end of 2019, the car was completely serviced in order to use it safely and carefree. Therefore all liquids, filters, spark plugs, belts were replaced; the valves were registered; the engine starts at the first stroke and runs smoothly. Like all cars with more than 70 years, as soon as it starts, it produces a little smoke from the exhaust which then dissolves with use.
All the chrome plating has also been redone to perfection by specialists in the sector at a cost of €3,000.

The interior is beautiful, perfectly preserved, in the original chocolate-coloured upholstery as it was originally, obviously it has some cracks and signs of time but, as I said, it is original.
The woollen cloth carpet and the headlining, on the other hand, were renovated at the time of the restoration.

The car will be delivered with Italian registration documents and inspection no older than 6 months issued by the Italian department of motor vehicles.
It can be viewed at any time by appointment in Magione (PG) Italy.

We are at the buyer's disposal to arrange transport of the car to any place in the world at special rates offered by our trusted carriers.
