THE JAGUAR S3 V12

One consequence of the E-Type's long process of development had been a gradual increase in weight, but a good measure of the concomitant loss of performance was restored in 1971 with the arrival of the Series 3 V12. Weighing only 80lb more than the cast-iron-block 4.2-litre XK six, the new all-alloy, 5.3-litre, overhead-camshaft V12 produced 272bhp, an output good enough for a top speed in excess of 140mph.

Further good news was that the 0-100mph time of around 16 seconds made the V12 the fastest-accelerating E-Type ever. Built in two-seat roadster and 2+2 coupé versions, both of which used the long-wheelbase floor pan introduced on the Series 2 2+2, the Series 3 E-Type continued the Jaguar tradition of offering a level of performance and luxury unrivaled at the price.

THIS JAGUAR S3 V12

The first owner bought the car on the 22 of may 1973 in Chalon-sur-Saone, France for a total sum of 58.205 French francs. The car was ordered new with a manual gearbox, chrome wheels and two headrests. The original invoice is still available; including a Jaguar Certificate confirming its Primrose yellow paint and black interior.
The car had license plate "2 713 QN 71". There's also a photo from 1975 with the owner next to his car.

The car was sold to a local car dealer in Chalon-Sur-Saone were the second owner bought the car. The invoice from the 21nd of may 1976 states the sale for 25.000 French francs. The car received a new license plate; "2818 RU 17". The owner took the car over to La Rochelle and kept it for a long time. Annual invoice records are available starting from 1981.

The 3th owner bought the car in 1996 and brought it over to Paris; receiving a new license plate; "12 LWZ 75". He held on to it for many years and in 1999 decided to have the car restored. The body was stripped naked and repainted in its original color of Primrose Yellow. During the process, the mechanics were overhauled as well. including new shock absorbers; new clutch, new stainless steel exhaust,...

He enjoyed it for the next years and several invoices prove the annual maintenance and service record. He decided to sell the car in 2010.

By the end of 2010, was bought by his current caretaker who brought it over to Belgium. On July the 13th 2011, the car received a Belgian registration. In 2017 the owner decided to have the last major issue tackled and had the V12 engine fully rebuild.

The car has not been used a lot since as its a part of car collection. The car still presents amazingly well with a deep and glossy paint and a lovely interior with just minor traces of use.

This Jaguar E-type V12 Roadster is a fantastic combination of comfort, luxury and power. The perfect companion for a sunny Sunday trip or a holiday.

The car comes with complete history, a Jaguar Certificate, a lot of invoices, an original French service manual and a Belgian registration. The car presents exceptionally well to this date. No costs have been spared and with all majors expenses done; the car is ready to be enjoyed for many years to come!
