This E Type was purchased by its former owner with express intention of creating a fast road/race car. Andrew Tart of Jaguar specialists Vicarage was emplyed to undertake development work on the car, resulting in the fitment of stronger XJ front suspension uprights, vented brake discs and bigger calipers. While the rear suspension was enhanced with a bespoke multi link arrangement to restrain movement under acceleration, cornering and braking. The engine was uprated with a one off camshaft specially ground, and although standard parts are still retained in the engine, they have been lightened and balanced to produce an output of 306bhp and some 328lb/ft of torque at 5,000rpm.
