Description

Transmission: 4 gears, Manual gearbox
Registration number: AR-93-72

A very iconic classic, the Jaguar E-type. Elegant, sporty, and full of class. Regarded by many as the most beautiful car ever built, and while we consider it a bold statement, we really understand why people hold that opinion. The car was introduced in 1961, and after a few years, the second series was released. It is immediately recognizable by the taillights positioned below the rear bumper and the absence of the glass headlight covers.

The coupe we see here is one of those second series models, originally supplied in 1969. The body is in excellent condition with clean and straight panels and proper alignment. The entire car has been resprayed at some point, and the work was done with great skill, resulting in an incredibly beautiful body. The original warm red colour has been kept. The car’s brightwork is mainly original and in a very impressive state. The same applies to the chrome wire wheels.

The word 'original' has been mentioned several times already, and it also applies to the interior. Beautiful light brown and completely original. It's a delight to behold and works beautifully. The lovely leather on the seats has developed a fine patina, and other components, such as the fabric carpets and headliner, are all in more than good condition. The dashboard is original and in a tidy state complementing the overall look and feel of the interior.

The Jaguar is powered by a 4.2-litre straight-six engine, which in this case is paired with a four-speed manual transmission. The engine runs beautifully, is delightfully smooth, and sounds fantastic. Additionally, the performance is more than impressive, with 269 horsepower. The car is matching numbers, meaning that the engine is original to the car. The transmission shifts nicely and operates precisely. The suspension and brakes are also in good condition, providing a pleasant driving experience. It's a successful blend of sportiness and comfort, truly a car for taking long journeys in.

The car comes with the necessary documentation, including invoices, a maintenance and instruction book, and some magazine articles.

In summary, this E-type is a timeless beauty in delightful condition.
