The History of the Jaguar E-Type Coupé
The presentation of the Jaguar E-Type at the Geneva Motor Show in May 1961 is still an object of legend nowadays: it is said that Norman Dewis, official driver of the Jaguar, piloted the brand new coupé all night from London to Switzerland, in order to arrive on time at the presentation of the car.
The aeronautical engineer of the time Malcolm Sayer had developed in Jaguar, the original monocoque of the D-Type, which won the 24 Hours of Le Mans three times, between 1955 and 1957, when he received from Sir William Lyons, Chief supreme of Jaguar, the task to design a brand new car that combined the most daring aerodynamic concepts of the time, power and elegance.
The first Jaguar E-Type saw the light in 1961, a car of extraordinary beauty, with a sophisticated and snobbish appearance. The car, in a convertible version, was officially presented in April of the same year at the New York Motor Show, with the aim to catch the taste of the US market.

The first cars, made between 1961 and 1962, were defined as "flat floor" due to the flat floor at the foot rest, a factor that greatly limited the space available to the pilot, especially for maneuvers at the heel and toe.
When Enzo Ferrari saw it for the first time, he called it "the most beautiful car in the world" and he was right! In fact, since its first appearance on the world scene, the E-Type has perfectly embodied the concept of the spider: sporty, fast and elegant.
Unrivaled driving pleasure that has lasted for 60 years now!
The Jaguar E-Type Convertible remains among the most admired cars ever, in Concours of Elegance around the world.

Our Jaguar E-Type Coupé
This E-Tipe is presented in excellent conditions, in its original English green, in a chromatic contrast of absolute charm, with the beige leather interior, of fine workmanship and in pure British style.
This Jaguar completely restored both in the bodywork and in the interior, nevertheless keeps many parts, preciously preserved.
Even the engine, largely preserved, maintains a high level of efficiency, thanks to the routine maintenance work that has taken place over the years.
The shining spoked circles are very suggestive, which help to emphasize the snobbish charm of this Anglo-Saxon author, but with a strong racing vocation.
The internal instrumentation of the E-Type is well preserved and the three-spoke wood and metal steering wheel is the original one. The electrical system has been completely overhauled and restored where necessary.
The door panels are compact and without cracks, the carpeting helps to increase the feeling of being comfortably reclined in refined English.
This specimen is a second series, in the most popular 2-seater coupé configuration, which gives the car an extremely sleek line, starting from the legendary front bonnet and up to the slightly raised tail.
The 4,200 cc 6-cylinder in-line engine still guarantees linear torque and highly satisfying performance for sports driving enthusiasts.
This example represents today an excellent choice for the Jaguar collector looking for one of the first E-Types, but who is also thinking of a satisfying investment, a real "passion Investment", with serious indications of a revaluation over the next years.
The sound of this six-cylinder in-line still remains today one of the most beautiful melodies for the lovers of this fascinating car manufacturer.
Today it is possible to view the car online, by booking a call with one of our commercial operators, via Skype, Zoom, Whatsapp and Google Meet platforms.
