Description

Chassis No. 1E16458

Arguably one of Jaguar's most beautiful and popular sports cars, the E-Type was built from 1961 to 1974. Instantly recognisable by the long hood, the Series 1 E-Type was produced as both a two-seater coupe and convertible. Produced between 1967 and 1968, Series 1.5 cars were offered with some cosmetic changes such as open headlights and changes to provide U.S. emissions compliance. Further changes to these models include twin cooling fans and adjustable seat backs. Accompanied by a Jaguar Daimler Heritage certificate this E-Type Roadster was built on 5 December 1967 and is finished in Carmen red with a contrasting black leather interior and soft top. Featuring an older restoration that has since been well maintained, this example has also been reconfigured to the earlier tri-carb setup that can be found on an earlier Series 1. Reported servicing from past ownership includes new door seals and detailed hood and trunk adjustments along a vast service file that leave this E-Type in excellent overall condition.
