The model which we are presenting for sale is a splendid Series 1 Coupé with a 3.8-litre engine. Sold new by the importer Max Hoffman in New York, it was one of the last such cars to leave the factory. In 2014, the body was completely sanded down before being repainted in its original colour. Its attractive black paintwork goes perfectly with its superbly patinated beige interior. The car runs like clockwork, having been meticulously maintained by its previous owner; in particular, the shock absorbers, exhaust system and wheels were all replaced a few years ago. During our road test, we were completely satisfied with the car, which proved that it had lost none of its original vigour. In this purest and most sought-after version, this fine example of the E-Type is worthy of the attention of the most demanding of collectors.
