Arguably the prettiest derivative of the E-type legend - a car described by Enzo Ferrari as "the most beautiful car in the world", this example as documented on it's Jaguar Heritage Trust certificate, was built as a Jaguar E-type Series 1 3.8 litre right hand drive, fixed head coupe with the date of manufacture recorded as the 14th September 1962. The car was finished in opalescent gunmetal, with red interior trim and the first owner was Cam Gears Limited, adorned with the registration number 1 NJH.

Fully matching numbers, this E-type was evidently well looked after throughout it's life and was selected by it's previous owner, an owner and racer of some of the most desirable historic road and racing cars, as the basis of his ultimate E-type for fast road use.

New Forest Classic Cars built this car to a specification which was as exhaustive as it was extensive and 115 images of the car's assembly are part of this car's documentation.

Until now, the car has been part of a significant private collection and used sparingly - which explains a mere 800 miles on the odometer since build and it is without question, one of the finest examples of a Series 1 3.8 FHC in existence.

Sympathetic, well-considered upgrades mean even today the driving experience matches the car's looks - truly an E-type for the connoisseur!
