Mythical design
One of the best replicas produced
Fibreglass, steel and aluminium bodywork
Jaguar E-Type S.1 base
French title

Built on the basis of a 1964 Jaguar Type-E Series 1 4.2l, this Type-D is as faithful to its model as the L & R company had the secret of taking for model the very famous Type-D Lynx considered by many as the best replica of the racing car.
Featuring a tubular steel chassis, a fibreglass, aluminium and steel body and an XK 4.2l engine with 3 original Weber carburettors, this Type-D "Long Nose" presents itself with a beautiful exterior and interior with a green paint job without scales including riveted body parts as in the original, some racing appendages such as white circles on the body that can accommodate a racer number, leather attachments on the bonnet and a central shell style mirror. The cabin is entered (not without difficulty depending on size) by opening the small aluminium side doors to reveal wraparound dark green leather seats with a nice patina and black quilted leather parts covering the centre tunnel. A Motolita steering wheel is in front of the driver as well as a Jaguar 4-speed gearbox; a speedometer in miles and a rev counter as well as oil and water temperature dials embellish the painted metal dashboard; the characteristic arch separating the driver and the passenger is present in the middle of the cockpit; a painted aluminium tonneau cover allows to cover the passenger seat and gives the car a real single-seater look
During our test drive, the D-Type had no major faults, the 4.2l engine responds well to acceleration and the lightness of the car promises to give a lot of thrust.
Sold with a Monegasque certificate for obtaining a French vehicle registration document stating "Jaguar Lynxreplica", the car is therefore fit to drive on our roads in France and to participate in historic rallies or other sporting events where the public will appreciate the Type-D's magnificent lines as well as its very convincing performance; we are now offering you the opportunity to get behind the wheel of a myth of the history of motor racing with one of the most beautiful bodies in the world.
