Description

This beautiful Jaguar D-Type recreation is built by Simon Dunford, a renowned D-Type specialist who has restored many original examples with his company Classic Jaguar Racing. He also constructed a few replicas with full aluminium body and based on E-Type running gear, and this car is one of these.

The example we are offering for sale is in beautiful condition and registered on a Belgian numberplate as a 1957 Jaguar. Equipped with a powerful and slightly tuned E-Type 3,8 Litre engine, breathing through 3 Weber carburettors and a Lynx inlet manifold. The sports exhaust in stainless steel sounds fantastic and adds a lot of drama to the driving experience. Inside, there is a correct dashboard and seats set up, and once climbed in the well appointed cockpit it feels like you just entered a WW2 fighter jet. This example is finished in French Blue similar to the privately Le Mans entered D-Type by Jean-Marie Brussin in correct 1957 shortnose configuration. The attention to detail is impressive, and driving this D-Type is an unforgettable experience.

This is a very appealing package, and one of the most spectacular cars we ever had in stock. Now available at a fraction of the build cost, and ready for viewing and testing at our showroom.
