Vehicle History:

The engineer Giotto Bizzarrini, a former Ferrari employee who left the factory of the Commendatore Ferrari in a dispute and had opened his own design office in Livorno in 1963, played a key role in the development of the Grifo. Bizzarrini designed a platform frame with box girders, which - apart from a wheelbase shortened by 20 centimeters - was similar to that of the Iso Rivolta IR 300.
This Iso Grifo was delivered to the Netherlands in 1969. Until 2010 he had only three owners. The current German owner has technically refurbished the 7 liter.

Fahrzeughistorie:

Maßgeblich an der Entwicklung des Grifo beteiligt war der Ingenieur Giotto Bizzarrini, ein ehemaliger Ferrari-Mitarbeiter, der das Werk des Commendatore Ferrari im Streit verlassen und 1963 ein eigenes Konstruktionsbüro in Livorno eröffnet hatte. Bizzarrini entwarf einen Plattformrahmen mit Kastenträgern, der – abgesehen von einem um zwanzig Zentimeter gekürzten Radstand – dem des Iso Rivolta IR 300 ähnlich war.
Dieser Iso Grifo wurde 1969 neu in die Niederlande geliefert. Dort hatte er bis 2010 nur drei Besitzer. Der jetzige deutsche Eigentümer hat den 7 Liter aufwendig technisch instandgesetzt.
