Description

Following the Second World War, Italy experienced a period of remarkable economic growth. Merchants and craftsmen were increasingly looking for practical transport solutions that could offer maximum versatility while keeping costs to a minimum. The three-wheeler quickly established itself as the ideal answer, combining a generous load capacity with practicality and economy.

Between two-wheelers and small cars, Innocenti unveiled its first three-wheeler in 1947, a model that continued to evolve until 1972. Powered by a 125 cc engine, the Lambro sits somewhere between a scooter and a small utility vehicle. The FLI 125 was derived from the 175 model, with its engine capacity adapted specifically for the French market in order to comply with the regulations governing vehicles that could be driven without a licence.
Originally conceived simply as a working tool, the Lambro has today become a genuine collector's item, offering a fascinating glimpse into a distinct and now bygone era.
The example we are presenting today is a 1965 Innocenti Lambro 125, delivered new in 1965. It currently shows just under 29,900 km on the odometer.
Finished in a charming burgundy shade, this three-wheeler is complemented by a brown leather interior, giving it a particularly appealing and characterful specification.
The Lambro remained in the hands of its first owner for many years before being acquired by its current owner, who undertook a comprehensive restoration of the vehicle. During the restoration, the chassis was stripped back to bare metal and the bodywork was fully restored. The mechanical components were also dismantled, thoroughly inspected and rebuilt before reassembly. The entire restoration process was extensively documented through a detailed photographic file, available upon request.

The vehicle can be viewed by appointment at our showroom or presented virtually. A detailed presentation video, together with a digitised version of the restoration file, is also available upon request and will be provided with pleasure.
