French title Engine n° 1011428 - Rare one-owner car - Exceptionally well-maintained This Honda S800 is interesting in more ways than one. Firstly, for its history, as it was bought new with the proceeds of a win on the horses, and has been kept by the owner ever since. Secondly, the car has been incredibly well maintained, and it is one of the very few surviving S800s in well-conserved and strictly original condition. Bought new from the Thiais dealership (run by racing driver Éric Offenstadt), with Blaupunkt radio as an option, it has been looked after meticulously by the owner, following the advice of his dealer. It has been treated to an oil change every 3,000 km (with the special Veedol racing oil while it existed) and all work carefully logged in a service book. In 1998, when the odometer read 99,920 km, the engine was completely overhauled by a mechanic from Loiret, for the sum of around 30,000 francs. A stainless steel exhaust was fitted in 2009, and the car records 112,000 km today. This example is in remarkably original condition and comes with its original keys, toolkit and manuals. The new owner will be able to enjoy its excellent mechanical and road-going qualities, with the added satisfaction of knowing it has an exceptional history.
