Description

To be OFFERED AT AUCTION WITHOUT RESERVE at Auctions America’s Santa Monica event, June 25-26, 2016.

Estimate:
$ 100 - $ 200 US

Introduced in 1977, the Honda Express was developed as a reaction to the 1973 oil crisis. The Express is a motor scooter with a 49-cc air-cooled, single cylinder, two stroke engine mated to an automatic transmission. Honda designed the scooter for ease of use by those uninitiated with motorcycles. A small oil pump was used to mix the fuel and oil.

This lime green Honda Express NC50 motor scooter is a 1977 model. It appears to have last been on the road in 1978 and, thus, shows a scant 144 miles on the odometer, which may be from new. It has wire spoke wheels, a chrome rack surrounding the tiny rear-mounted gas tank, and a blue California license plate.
