Description
Heynsdyk was a Dutch car brand that existed from 2010 to 2012. Ronald Heijnsdijk was the driving force behind this project.
The car has a Porsche 944 as base and a new body designed by Heijnsdijk. A total of 14 cars were built and one more car was half finished at the time of bankruptcy.
I was able to purchase this half-finished car at the bankruptcy auction. Restoration on the car started three years ago after it had been kept in a heated warehouse for a long time. A complete photo book of the restoration is available.
The complete engine has been taken out and entirely rebuilt. Parts in need of replacement have been replaced. The car has been sandblasted and painted. After the engine was placed back, the electronics were tackled and the Bugatti dashboard was installed according to the instructions in the original Heynsdyk manual. So everything works the way it should. New brakes and a new exhaust have been installed.
An entirely new calfskin interior has also been installed and the seats have been reupholstered with the same material. New floor mats have been custom made. The console has been upholstered with calfskin as well.
The car was then sanded entirely and given a beautiful paint job with metallic silver paint.
Existing Porsche rims and good tyres have been put on the wheels.
This car really is as pretty as a picture. These cars are difficult to find and are becoming increasingly expensive. Only one test drive has been made after the restoration.
It is recommended to view the vehicle prior to placing a bid in order to prevent disappointment afterwards. Please contact Catawiki to schedule an appointment.
