Description
"The Ironhead was a Harley-Davidson motorcycle engine, so named because of the composition of the cylinder heads which were made of iron instead of aluminium. The engine is a two-cylinder, two valves per cylinder, pushrod V-twin and it was produced from 1957 until 1985 until replaced by the Evolution engine in 1986. The Ironhead name was applied to the Harley-Davidson Sportster motorcycles that used this engine.
This 1000cc Harley-Davidson is an impressive looking motorcycle. It is easy to see why the brand has such a loyal following. This beauty from Wisconsin was registered on 1st August 1978 and presents well in black with a purple tank design. Offered to auction with a V5C registration document and we are informed by the vendor that the bike will be supplied with a current MoT test certificate."
