In 1963 S&S Welding, which consisted of Ernie Solberg and Scott Beckett, built 3 race cars with a Holman Moody 427cu V8 and Colotti Type 50 transaxle. These cars were based on the best features of the Genie Mk8 and used a Genie Mk8 body.

The car sits on Koni shock absorbers with coil-over springs.
