The 1938 Fords were distinctively designed with new sharply angled vee'd radiator area that flowed over the crown of the fender catwalks and continued after a short break in similarly delicately finned hood side vents. Headlights were still located on the catwalks behind teardrop shaped streamlined glass covers and the dual vee windshields were raked slightly more. The windshield rake not only emulated the rake of the grille’s prow but also reduced the size of the roof on sedans which had gone to all-steel construction in 1937.
This particular Ford is powered by a 239-cid, 90-hp V-8 engine that is matched with a three-speed manual transmission. It is finished in gray and fitted with dual mirrors and Goodyear wide whitewall tires. The interior is finished in tan cloth and fitted with a wooden dash.
The restoration took it back to factory specifications where it became a former AACA National winner. The car also comes with the original 1938 bill of sale and the title issued in 1938.
