Description

Ford Super DeLuxe V8 1948

- Undamaged
- Original plating
- Electric soft top

- 1 of only 2 Dutch-registered

After World War II, Ford was the first to come out with a car again after wartime production.
The four-door they brought was an upgrade of the 1941 model.
Later, the coupe and convertible came. These cars were modified again in 1946 and 1947.
The second half of 1948 saw a new model that was given the 1949 model year.

The 1947 and 1948 models of the Ford Super DeLuxe differed only slightly from the 1946 model externally.
Thus, the red-coloured vertical grooves disappeared from the wing above the three horizontal strips in the grille.
The parking lights were now round in shape and were placed under the headlights.
The car got new hubcaps and the two horizontal strips above the number plate on the boot lid disappeared.
This version has a Motor-Lift Top, meaning that the convertible roof could be opened and closed by simply pressing a button.
This Ford was built in 1948 as one of the last of the 1945 - 1948 series.
Ford offered this car at the base price of $1,635.00.
A total of 12,033 units of this type were produced.

This model comes in a beautiful 'Maize Yellow'.
Together with the light brown leather interior, it really is a throwback to the past.
The L-head V-8 engine runs very nicely.
It has 3 gears and is hand-shifted via the steering wheel.
The 5-seater offers plenty of space and fun for everyone.
The interior is comfortable, especially for its age.
The chrome work is still in very clean condition.
The bottom is nice and hard. The paintwork, interior and rims are all in beautiful condition and combine to form a stunning picture.

An Operators Manual dated 28 February 1948 is present.
The car is a true classic.
For a car more than 70 years old, it really is of very nice quality.
So a unique opportunity!

This car may have slight signs of use due to its age, see photos.

You are more than welcome to come and view the car in our showroom and take it for a test drive before you place a bid.

This vehicle can be viewed and picked up in Oldemarkt, The Netherlands.
