Originally equipped with a 2-barrel carburetor, it has been upgraded with a 4-barrel aluminum intake manifold and a 4-barrel carburetor, similar to the factory A-code specification. Thanks to these upgrades, the engine produces approximately 225 horsepower. The Ford 289 V8 is widely regarded as one of the most reliable and iconic engines of the first-generation Mustang. Its compact design, durable construction, and smooth power delivery make it an excellent combination of performance, reliability, and driving pleasure.
