Description

While Ford’s Model T revolutionized the automobile industry and ushered in the practice of assembly line manufacturing, it was the subsequent Model A that assured the company’s continued success. The Model A was the first Ford to utilize standardized control locations, with the clutch, brake, and gas pedals arranged in a row on the floor. Its robust and stylish construction offered universal appeal and value in relation to its competition, and the enthusiasm for the model remained strong from its introduction in 1927 through its replacement by the Model 18 in 1932. The Model A Ford continues to enjoy a loyal following and there is no more approachable prewar automobile. With club activity and parts availability as strong as ever, the Model A offers incredible value in the collector car hobby.

This lovely, five-passenger Model A Deluxe Coupe was purchased by Blake Nordstrom as a restored car from Ken Wall of Colorado. It presents very well and shows a wonderful patina from careful use. Fitted with a rumble seat and twin spare tires mounted in the fenders, the Model A is finished in a beautiful four-color paint scheme. These cars are always a favorite at local meets and this lovely Model A would make a great local show car and weekend cruiser.
