Model History
Produced between 1974 and 1980. This car was equipped with a 4-cylinder 1298cm3 and 76 horsepower engine. The power is delivered to the rear wheels vis a 4-speed manual gearbox. The car was produced as 2- and 4-door sedan, 3-door estate and 2-door van. „L” and „GL” versions were cars made for the masses. „Sport”, „RS Mexico” and „RS2000” were performance-oriented versions. „Ghia” was a trim for more demanding customers. Compared to the MK1, there were several changes in the front and rear of its chassis, but the interior remained untouched. In 1978 there was a small redesign, where the L cars got square headlights (in Ghia as a standard before). Changes were made also to the interior.

Vechicle History
1976 Ford Escort Coupé offered by Ardor Auctions is an outstanding vehicle, because of its complete, and precise restoration and full Polish history documentation. This particular car was bought in 1977 in West Berlin by a Polish citizen and spent the last 38 years in Poland. With the car comes its original proof of purchase, order form, proof of registration and 1977 custom clearance document. It was completely restored - Chassis was disassembled and the body had a new paintjob done, which included the engine bay, boot and interior. Underbody received a new rust protection. This Ford is fully operational, major mechanical service was performed recently. Escort is registered using black plates.
