Description

Chassis No. U15GLS88179

First generation Ford Broncos are admired for their simplicity, utility, and timeless, rugged good looks. The go-anywhere, outdoorsman capabilities evident in the original design (1966 – 1977) found admirers across North America where the day-to-day utility of these early sport utility vehicles was truly appreciated. Advancements are often a trade-off, with various changes and regulations typically leading to larger, heavier vehicles. Such was the case for the Bronco. After a number of years, Ford's Bronco became a less-recognizable version of itself more suited to suburban parking lots rather than the trails and campsites of backwoods America. In time – and because these evolutionary changes – the first generation Bronco found renewed interest for the very same reasons it was first popular in the 1960s.

Broncos of this generation are favored by enthusiasts for the almost limitless knowledge base and community that exists to maintain and upgrade these off-road vehicles. This 1974 Ford Bronco Wagon, finished in Sterling Gray Metallic offset with a Wimbledon White hardtop and steel roof rack has seen a number of off-road modifications that look equally at home, on the street or off-road. The Bronco on offer features a list of performance and off-road upgrades: a FiTech electronic fuel-injected 4.9 L V8 coupled to automatic transmission. The powertrain moves the 15-inch alloy wheels and knobbly tires via a four-wheel drive system with Dana transfer case. Power disc brakes at the front provide ample stopping power. A 3.5-inch lift kit increases wheel travel and 'bolt-on' style wheel arches complete the package.

With a recent service, this off-road bound 1974 Ford Bronco has a fantastic combination of first-generation style and upgraded components for true trail presence... even if trail is a well beaten-path to get orange-mocha frappuccinos with your three best friends.
