FIRST STEPS OF OUR ROCKET
The Fiat Uno Turbo i.e. Group A presented here, tested at the La Mandria natural park, the "Fiorano of the rallies", is 100% Made in Abarth. Drivers such as Alex Fiorio, Del Pozzo and Rayneri developed it to face the 1986 World Rally Championship wearing the Totip livery.
Prepared side by side of the Delta S4 (as the engineer Sergio Limone says), the 160 HP supercharged, the frontal grafts gearbox and the weight of 885 kg make it a little rocket.

Fiat Auto Spa in Corso G. Agnelli 200 in Turin registered this car on 6 March 1985.
After two years there, it was bought in 1987 by the famous and renowned "Scuderia del Grifone", racing with the ESSO colours.
In 1988 it passed to A.S. Errevi Sport and then in 1989 at Biesse Corse. In May 1991, it was entrusted to Canonica Racing S.r.l. until the end of its racing career in 1995 when a private individual bought and kept it for ten years until he sold it in 2005.
After another 15 years of inactivity, in 2020, a Tuscan collector carried out and documented all the phases of careful restoration, bringing it to concours conditions.
Today the Uno Turbo i.e. Group A is shown in its first and glorious Totip livery.

THE RACES
Under the "Jolly Club" team, it began its career with little luck in Monte Carlo due to an offroad. However, in March 1986, during the Rallye de Portugal, it obtained an incredible third place overall with the No. 22 team of Del Pozzo - Roggia, facing 556 km in gravel and asphalt.
The young Alex Fiorio, who oversaw its development, enhanced the qualities of our Group A "TO32375D" in fast and gravel roads, as we can read in issue 4 of "Tutto Rally" magazine of April 1986.
