It was in March 1967 that the Fiat Dino coupe signed by Bertone and designed by Giugiaro, who was the styling director, was presented.
The name Dino comes from the name of Enzo Ferrari's son, Dino, as he was involved in the design of the magnificent 6-cylinder V engine with four overhead camshafts that powers the car.
In order to compete in the Formula 2 championship, it was necessary for Ferrari to assemble (and sell) 500 race-derived engines in street-legal production cars. However, Ferrari didn't sell that many cars per year at that time. They then contacted Fiat and a collaboration was started to realize this. From this collaboration, the Ferrari Dino 206 (and later the 246) and the Fiat Dino 2000 (and later the 2400) were born.
The original Dutch delivered Fiat Dino coupe 2400 which we offer you here comes from the year 1971 and we read a mileage of 28,500. The Fiat has received the necessary attention in the past, both technically and optically, both on the car and the accompanying bills from the past. The engine was also completely overhauled at the time.
Only a few copies of the Fiat Dino are left and that makes this Fiat Dino 2400 a rare appearance with a potential increase in value.
