Chassis number: 135AC0002575
- Elegant, stylish GT – a real baby Ferrari
- Only 384 cars delivered new in France
- Two previous owners
This 2-litre Fiat Dino Coupé joined Pierre Brignole’s collection in November 1985. It had been delivered new by Fiat’s French importer in July 1968, making it one of the 384 2-litre coupés registered in France. It retained its original registration number 1259 RH 06 until the mid-1980s, when it went to Corsica. Before Brignole therefore, it had only one other owner, as the copy of the original registration certificate and the sale documents from the time confirm. As with all the cars in his collection, Brignole had his Fiat Dino regularly serviced with the help of his chief mechanic. Nearly all the services and maintenance work were carried out in the collector’s own garage, which was fully equipped for smaller repairs and bigger jobs alike. In its very elegant and original ‘Blu Medio’ finish, the car presents very well, as does its interior with its black leather upholstery. The spare wheel and toolkit are present in the boot. The odometer is showing 86,870 km (53,979 miles), which would appear to be the original mileage. All the mechanical components operate as they should and the music of the Dino’s V6 remains as fabulous as ever to listen to. Of the 384 cars delivered new in France, at present this is probably one of the very few with only two owners since new.
