Description

- Found walled up in an Italian farmhouse in Marina di Modica, where it was abandoned since 1978 until recently. Only one previous owner before the current collector who decided to save it by preserving the few signs of time due mainly to the sea air. Only 40,000km on the clock, it is perfectly sound and well-preserved. Equipped with documents, number plates of the time and manuals.
- Subjected to conservative restoration with the aim of preserving the signs of the time and avoiding continuous aging. Specific White 207 Fissore colour, the bodywork and interiors were treated in order not to erase its history, but rather to show the excellent state of preservation of this unique means of transport. After a gentle polishing of the original varnish, the areas with surface oxidation were protected with specific products and sealed to preserve the surfaces. The original interiors were brightened up and all parts reconditioned, though still original.
- Mechanics completely overhauled, head gasket replaced and cooling system and carburettor overhauled, exhaust system replaced and complete overhaul of braking system. CEAT brand tyres fitted, just like the original ones 1970 rsquo production, now unobtainable.
- This 8-seater minibus of the second series is probably the only one with the bodywork designed by Fissore Coachworks, specialising in the transformation of the 600T into an ambulance. Uniqueness and comfort of double folding doors on both sides and 8-passenger capacity. Current owner, Giorgio Avola, Olympic fencer and collector of vintage cars, opted to bring the minibus back to full efficiency, without eliminating the traces of the 40 years spent walled up in a farmhouse. The type of restoration carried out on the vehicle, preserving the original rat rod appearance and uniqueness of the Fissore minibus bodywork, make it a sublime collector rsquo item, a true messenger of the history that has come down to us after long abandonment, which saved it from intense use and the scrapping campaigns. There is not another one like it, so much so that even the Ruoteclassiche magazine has dealt with the small 600T.
