Description
"Designed by Dante Giacosa, the Fiat 500 was produced between 1957 and 1975 with limited production of the Fiat 500K estate continuing until 1977. Measuring only three metres long and originally powered by a tiny 479cc two-cylinder, air-cooled engine, the 500 redefined the term 'small car' and is considered one of the first city cars. Despite its diminutive size, the 500 proved to be an enormously practical and popular car throughout Europe, capturing the hearts and minds of the public. The 'L' or Lusso was manufactured between 1968 and 1972 and featured a much more up to date interior including a renewed dashboard that gave the 500 a more modern feel.
This very good 1972 Fiat 500 Lusso was imported from Italy in 2018. It has been subject to a complete restoration, this included repainting the car in pale blue, please note the bonnet requires some remedial work, and a fully customised and hand stitched light blue interior was fitted. The chromework was also replaced with new bumpers, headlight surrounds and new front badge. Finally, the car was fitted with some Cromodora style wheels and hub caps. The car has been subject to a major service and all the fluids, filters and electrical components were replaced. This pretty Fiat 500 is supplied with a V5C registration document. The Fiat 500L captures the essence of classic Italian motoring, combining compact size, charming design, and a spirited driving experience."
