To have more information or to place a bid click on the "BID NOW" button. .This rare Fiat Cinquecento Mod. ‘D’ (convertible) from 1961, differs from the later ‘F’, ‘L’, and ‘R’ models in the special and characteristic ‘suicide’ doors and the fully folding roof.

It was registered on 16th October 1961 in Sicily - Messina (Italy), where it is still located today after sixty years.
This is a very early series of the ‘D’ version, immediately following the Mod ‘N’ (first Cinquecento produced from 1957 to 1960), from which it inherited the same chassis.

The extraordinary condition and originality of the car makes it one of a kind, as it is not one of the many vintage cars that have been restored (often confusedly) with new parts reconstructed with modern manufacture, but instead this is an original car in all its components, on which a professional conservative restoration was carried out about twenty years ago by the third and last owner, Mr. Antonio.

When I went to see it for the first time in the garage where it was jealously stored and uncovered the soft cloth that protected it, I had the impression that time had stopped in 1961. I was looking at a Fiat Cinquecento Trasformabile Mod. ‘D’ that smelled like new!
Equipped with an amazing set of accessories of the time: start-up and air levers, throttle and brake pedal base, door sills entirely made of aluminium, glove compartment fitted in the ashtray with small inscription (faded over time) ‘Sii prudente’ (Be careful), suitcase holder complete with travelling case, toolbox and carbon dioxide extinguisher with case, the engine with its special air filter, the number plates and the registration booklet, everything original.
In short, a fully original collectable Fiat Cinquecento Transformable that I could not resist and that I am offering today.
