As one of around 3’500 2300 S coupés built, this Fiat was delivered in Switzerland in 1963. Obviously the car had been repainted in its early years from the original light grey with the registration indicating that the coupé had been repainted to the current brown already in 1972. In 1980 the Fiat was de-registered and stored. Several years ago, the car was taken over by the vendor, but lack of time prevented a originally planned restoration. The 2300 S is mostly complete with the coachwork showing some major corrosion and the 2.3 litre inline 6 has not been started in the past 30 years. The leather interior present itself in its original condition and, with reasonable effort, could probably be brought back to life. The elegant coupé presents a most interesting project or could also serve as a valuable part source. A Swiss registration document with the last MOT from July 1975 is available.
