The Fiat 1500 cabriolet was one of Pininfarina’s most successful designs. An understated and elegant design, the cabriolet is often referred to as a “baby” Ferrari PF cabriolet. This is the car that lifted Fiat back into the sports car realm in the 1960s. With a forward-hinged bonnet, a top that raises easily by one person in either seat, and ample trunk space, this roadster found many new customers for Fiat. The 1.5 liter Columbo-designed overhead valve engine, mated to a two-barrel Weber carburetor and four-speed all synchromesh manual transmission, gave the car a truly sporting character.
This Fiat 1500 cabriolet is out of long-term storage. It is a remarkably rust-free example with excellent panel fit. The white paint, black vinyl top, black interior with red carpets and beige door cards, and beautiful dashboard speak to its originality and careful ownership.
