Description

"With a name reminiscent of the 500 Mondial racing cars from the 1950s, the Ferrari Mondial was a replacement for the Ferrari 308GT4. It was the first Ferrari where the entire engine/gearbox/rear suspension assembly was mounted on a detachable steel sub-frame, making engine removal for a major rebuild or cylinder head removal much easier than it was on previous models. The Mondial 8 is considered one of the marque's most 'practical' vehicles, due to its 214hp, proven drivetrain, four seats and relatively low cost of maintenance.  The later Quattrovalvole or QV, introduced a new four valve cylinder head; the combustion chamber design was purportedly based on the early eighties Formula One engine and produced a very respectable 240hp.
Supplied by Maranello on 11th March 1988, this genuine UK registered right hand drive example is finished in the popular colour combination of Rosso Corsa and Crema interior. Optional extras as specified by the original invoice are a factory fitted sunroof and anti-lock brakes. A good history folder accompanies this Ferrari and the original bookpack is also present. Supplied with a V5C registration document and a current MoT test certificate, this Mondial Coupé is in good order throughout and appears to be very attractively estimated given the low mileage and condition."
