The Ferrari Mondial, first introduced in 1980, is a four place grand tourer in the Ferrari tradition. The Mondial name first appeared on Ferrari racecars in the early 1950s. Nineteen eighty-two saw the introduction of the Quattrovalvole engine; which denotes its four valves per cylinder head arrangement. And, a year later, the cabriolet was introduced, the first true convertible from Ferrari since the introduction of the esteemed Ferrari Daytona Spider in 1969. The cabriolet version even conveyed the coupes buttress-style rear pillars in their soft-top interpretation.
This 1985 Ferrari Mondial Quattrovalvole Cabriolet has been lovingly preserved since new and shows approximately 11,000 miles on the odometer. Wearing a handsome color combination of black and tan, this attractive Mondial QV features a black cloth top and a tan boot. The car comes complete with books, tool roll, jack, and on the factory Ferrari alloys are fresh looking Michelin TRX tires. It is getting harder to find a Ferrari of this era that is as well-kept as this cabriolet.
