The Mondial went on sale in 1980, replacing 208 and 308 GT4 models. It was designed to be a comfortable, 4-seater coupé. Its three-liter V8 engine was mounted in the back. It had a Bo-sch K-Jetronic fuel injection and was mated to a five-speed manual gearbox. After a ma-keover in 1982 the engine was given four valves per cylinder, which gained it a Quattrovalvole moniker. It developed 240 BHP, which was good for acceleration from 0 to 100 km/h in 6,4 seconds. QV version remained in production till 1984. During that time, 1145 examples were sold. Nowadays, after many years of being forgotten and underestimated, it starts gaining recognition among car collectors.
1983 Ferrari Mondial offered by the classic car auction company Ardor Auctions is a Europe-an-spec model. It was exported to the United States, where it was restored. After that, it was shipped back over to Europe, this time to its current owner located in Poland. Its body has been refreshed and looks really attractive. On the inside, original upholstery is one of the very strong points. It also amplifies the sensation experienced both by the driver and the passen-ger. Mechanically, the car is fully sound. It is regularly driven and was serviced in May 2015, when it had its fluids, filters and tires replaced. Presented Ferrari Mondial without a doubt captures the aura and magic of the Ferrari brand. It’s a perfect choice for someone who would like to start his or her adventure with Ferrari ownership. The car is registered in Poland and it has a valid Polish MOT and insurance.
