Description

At the inception of his company in 1947, Enzo Ferrari could only dream that Maranello would celebrate an anniversary 70 years later. That dream was realized in 2017 when Ferrari’s custom design atelier, Tailor Made, and the artists at Centro Stile collaborated to distill the design features of 70 of the most memorable Ferraris into modern liveries, to be bestowed upon each of five supercar models – creating 350 unique automobiles.

This magnificent 70th Anniversary Edition Ferrari is the only GTC4 Lusso to pay homage to the legendary 1957 250 Testa Rossa prototype – chassis 0666 TR – which Dan Gurney and Bruce Kessler raced at the 1958 24 Hours of Le Mans. This car’s distinctive NART livery has been recaptured in this unique modern-day Ferrari, with its Rosso Corsa Metallizato paint and central blue and white stripe. This superb supercar also bears the exclusive 70th anniversary commemorative logo on the lower rear fender, along with a silver dedication plate on the center tunnel armrest naming the 250 Testa Rossa as its inspiration. The classic Scuderia shields on both front fenders and the beige Alcantara upholstery with red-accented instrument pods further reference the beautiful 1958 livery of 0666 TR.

The GTC4 Lusso draws on the DNA of its illustrious predecessors – the 330 GTC, the 250 GT Berlinetta Lusso, and Enzo’s favorite child, the 330 GT – taking the best of Ferrari and melding it into a 12-cylinder, four-wheel-drive Grand Tourer par excellence. Lusso refers to the luxury of the car’s appointments, while the number “4” denotes the number of seats.

The newly sculpted Lusso contradicts the “shooting brake coupe” designation with its handsomely tapered silhouette and aggressive stance. The flared and muscular wheel arches, lowered roofline, and sensual curves belie the wellappointed and roomy interior featuring large wraparound seats. The Lusso also benefits from Ferrari’s Human-Machine Interface, developed by the F1 team, which assures an ergonomically designed interior with improved noise insulation and a 10.25" HD touchscreen with satellite navigation and 3D maps. Perhaps one of the most attractive features of the GTC4 Lusso is the newly patented 4-RMS (four-wheel drive, four-wheel steering) system, which facilitates extreme performance in any driving condition, including winding back roads, city stop-and-go, or snowy byways. Regardless of external factors, the V-12 engine can produce 681 hp, achieve a top speed of 208 mph and deliver you from a standstill to 60 mph in just 3.4 seconds.

This 2017 Ferrari GTC4 Lusso 70th Anniversary Edition blends the excellence of Ferrari’s avant-garde technology with the mythical nostalgia of the legendary 250 Testa Rossa. With only one owner, and displaying less than 70 miles from new, this is a unique opportunity to own a one-of-a-kind Ferrari supercar.
