Description
The term Scuderia is inextricably linked with the Scuderia Ferrari Formula One Team-the oldest and winningest constructor in the history of the sport. In 2007, following an immense period of success in the early 2000s, the Scuderia bounced back from the challenge posed by Renault from 2005-2006, securing both the Drivers' and Constructors' Championships after McLaren's disqualification due to the infamous "Spygate" espionage scandal. That summer, a new road car based on the F430 was unveiled by Michael Schumacher at an event in Frankfurt as the 430 Scuderia, with its name signaling the link between the new model and the Prancing Horse's championship-winning Formula One single-seaters.
The seven-time Formula One World Champion was instrumental in the Scuderia's development, culminating in a lighter, more powerful, track-oriented version of Maranello's eight-cylinder model. Power was up from 483 horsepower to 503 horsepower thanks to an improved intake manifold and a lightweight sports exhaust similar to that in the F430 Challenge racer. Approximately 100 kilograms were shed through the extensive use of carbon fiber, plastic composite bumpers, a Lexan engine cover, and a spartan interior lacking carpets or floor mats for an extraordinary power-to-weight ratio of 2.5 kilograms per horsepower. In conjunction with its sophisticated aerodynamics, F1 SuperFast2 transmission and E-Diff coupled with the race-derived F1-Trac traction control system, the focused new model combined ultra-precise handling with remarkable acceleration.
This left-hand drive, European-market Ferrari 430 Scuderia, finished in stealth Nero Daytona with optional Grigio Corsa racing stripes, was delivered new to Max Bringmann of Wendelstein, Germany through Kroymans AH Nürnberg on 28 February 2008. The interior features optional full Nero Alcantara upholstery with Bianco contrast stitching, Cavallino-embroidered headrests, a roll bar, racing harnesses, and a carbon fiber steering wheel with integrated LED upshift lights-notably superior to the standard Tessuto cloth-upholstered interior. Additional factory specifications include Scuderia Ferrari fender shields, Scuderia-specific carbon front spoiler and rear diffuser, no-cost radio with satellite navigation and Bluetooth, and a trimmed front luggage compartment.
The Scuderia has received regular maintenance by Ferrari dealers and specialist shops from new, with documented services at Mertel Italo Cars Nürnberg in 2011 and 2012, followed by Scuderia Gohm GmbH in 2015. After importation to the United Kingdom in 2016, the car was serviced at Maranello Egham and received a Ferrari Power Warranty. The current caretaker acquired the car through DK Engineering in May 2017, becoming only the second U.K.-based owner, and has maintained it meticulously with annual services through respected Ferrari specialists DK Engineering, Foskers Engineering, and Bell Sport & Classic throughout their eight years of ownership.
Showing just 38,000 kilometers at the time of listing, this 430 Scuderia presents exceptionally well as a three-owner example with complete service history. As the lightweight, track-focused variant of the F430, the Scuderia represents one of Ferrari's most celebrated modern special editions, combining reduced weight, increased power, and enhanced aerodynamics. This example, with its desirable factory specifications and documented history, is ready to be enjoyed for its blistering performance whether thrilling on the road or dominating the track.
